With federal agencies, it's 'do as I say, not as I do'

by Your View -- Letter to the Editor  Published: June 29, 2016

It seems the Honorable Dr. Tom Coburn has given us a few more dots to connect. In a Wall Street Journal op-ed piece co-authored by Adam Andrzejewski, the pair related some troubling facts. They listed a number of federal agencies, not affiliated with the Department of Defense, that have acquired weapons, ammunition, night-vision devices and explosives.

The list is, to say the least, alarming: the IRS, the EPA, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, the Smithsonian, the U.S. Mint, the Small Business Administration, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the Social Security Administration. In all, 67 federal agencies have decided to arm themselves, at the expense of taxpayers. And they are well-armed — shotguns, assault weapons, ammunition, night-vision goggles and explosives.

And all the while, the executive branch and progressives in Congress keep trying to repeal the Second Amendment. Sounds a lot like, "Do as I say, not as I do."
