Adam Andrzejewski (say: Angie-eff-ski) is the CEO/founder of OpenTheBooks.com.

Before dedicating his life to public service, Adam cofounded HomePages Directories, a $20 million publishing company (1997-2007).

His works have been featured on The BBC, Good Morning America, ABC World News Tonight, C-SPAN, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, CNN, Fox News, National Public Radio (NPR), Forbes, and many other national media.

The Andrzejewski/OpenTheBooks investigation into congressional corruption was featured in a June 2021 episode of CNBC’s American Greed, "The 'Con' in Congress."

Today, OpenTheBooks.com is the largest private repository of U.S. public-sector spending. Mission: post "every dime, online, in real time."

In 2021, OpenTheBooks.com filed 47,000 Freedom of Information Act requests and successfully captured $12 trillion in government spending, including all federal spending, 49 out of 50 state checkbooks, and 25 million individual public salary and pension records.

The group's aggressive transparency and forensic auditing of government spending has led to the assembly of grand juries, indictments, and successful prosecutions; congressional briefings, hearings, and subpoenas; Government Accountability Office (GAO) audits; Congressional Research Service (CRS) reports; federal legislation; and much more.

The President's Budget To Congress FY2021 featured two OpenTheBooks oversight reports. The budget cited the organization by name, bullet-pointed their findings, and footnoted/hyperlinked to their reports.

Andrzejewski has spoken at the Columbia School of Journalism, Harvard Law School, as well as, Georgetown, and George Washington law schools regarding big data journalism. As a senior policy contributor at Forbes, Adam had nearly 17 million page views on 206 published investigations. Fact-finding Fauci led to the cancellation of his column.

Andrzejewski’s presentation to the Hillsdale College National Leadership Seminar in Naples, Florida on 2/20/20 has received 3.7+ million views on YouTube.

A member of the Society of Professional Journalists, Andrzejewski attended the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in 2017 and 2018.
